Merry, Merry and to all… a good 2013!

I hope the close of 2012 finds you well and happy! We have plans to spend the last few days of this year just like we did the rest of them- being a little too loud, smiling as hard as we can, laughing often, and loving always. We wish the same for all of you- may 2013 be full of good things, too numerous to count.

As you know, we stopped mailing the bulk of our holiday cards a few years ago and I’ve really never been one for the “Holiday Letter,” probably because I can’t imaging summing up an entire year in a format short enough to read in a single sitting. But, stay in touch, okay? We love you all.

It’s all there

Ian woke me up at 2 am and announced “Mommy, I have something to tell you!” I wish I could tell you what it was, but I’m afraid he was informed that I didn’t want to hear it and to go back to sleep. Which he did, curled up next to me. It made for immediate hug opportunities at “up time.”

Keeghan’s new words in the last 24 hours have included acorn, copy, hug, and (wait for it!) Dude. (awesome, right?)

I hope you have a beautiful Thanksgiving.

Los Muertos

I went away for the weekend with some girlfriends ( yes, it was amazing, but more on that later) and while I was gone the Dudes rocked the weekend. Keeghan started saying “Me! Me!” and “GOOOO!” and Ian keeps confining himself to his room, which means he’s all funned out and needs a break.

One more thing:

It’s a 3T.

HO HO HO!

As we move to the end of 2011, I’ve been reading a lot of holiday letters. I know that, as a literary form, they receive a lot of criticism, but I enjoy them. They’re full of milestones, hellos, goodbyes, hopes, and dreams.

I hope 2011 was as full of wonder for your family as it was for mine. And my hope is that 2012 will be The Best Year Yet for each and every one of us.

Best wishes for a beautiful season and a Merry New Year, from my family to yours.
