According to myth, Semele gave birth to a baby who became a god.  Her story is a parable for all mothers.

As moms, our job is to create greatness out of the ordinary.  Our lives are both ordinary and extraordinary. We are occupied with the mundane, but our hearts are occupied with wonder. To inhabit the world of children is to inhabit a world of magic, of transformations, of limitless potential, of dreams, and of delight. Welcome, companions. Welcome, friends.
