Bubbles at the Park

I took Ian to the park today to blow bubbles with some friends:

Notice, he kept the booties on again today. He also let me put them on him before we left the house, and while we were there, he said “giggle, giggle.” That was apparently really, really fun, because then he said “giggle, giggle” all the way home.

happy, happy! Mwah, Mwah!

Today Ian looked at me when I said we were going to church and said, “happy, happy!” So, of course, I was. Last night he was blowing kisses to his adoring fans. (“Mwah, mwah!”)

He has learned to “monkey crawl” with his feet and hands on the floor and his rump in the air. Tonight he did this in the bath. He wanted to listen to his Baby Mozart CD this morning… so he started singing one of the instrumental tunes. (Don’t know which one, but I recognized the arpeggio.)

I gave him a banana for breakfast and he did a little dance. Must be the “Banana dance,” which bears striking resemblance to the “cheese dance,” and the “muffin dance.”

This afternoon he disappeared for two seconds and came back with a bottle of lotion normally kept on the bathroom counter. He was trying to drink it. I took him grocery shopping immediately after lunch, and he still ate his way through the entire store. (Where does he keep all that food?)

Of course, I can’t have a post with no pix, so here you are:

Adventures of Ian

I apologize, we are seriously behind the times on McNamara family updates. Here are some pix of Ian today with his friends at the park. He figured out how to go down the slide all by himself, and loved it.

Beach Park

He has also recently figured out how to go down the stairs ONE AT A TIME rather than all at once- quite a relief for all concerned except him. I really think he liked rolling down.

His two most recent words are “cheese” (Okay, it was more like “CHEEEEEEEESE!”) and stinky (rendered as “stinky, stinky, stinky, stinky!” in his little sing-song voice, with lots of giggles.)

Crayons have also become a recent favorite, although he has not yet made up his mind whether coloring is more fun than chewing on the crayon, and he and Teddy have both learned to give kisses. (“mwah, mwah!”)

Here he is watching the construction next door.

Love and kisses (mwah, mwah!) to you all!

Kitchen Makeover

Nothing exposes your organizational shortcomings like emptying the kitchen for a project. We proved this when we managed to trash our entire house merely by clearing the pantry and countertops this weekend.

Here’s the album of our project:

As you can see, I have lots of help today with the cleanup. Ian took this all surprisingly well, considering that it was a near total disruption to his routine.
